GREENSBORO, N.C. – A North Carolina educator is making his mark in the film industry.
Philip Page, a former N.C. A&T professor, created the two-dimensional, five-minute animated short film, Genesis.
He used alumni from the university to highlight what he says is film is based on “Black girl magic.”
“It's a creation story loosely based on the book of Genesis," Page says. "And pretty much it depicts God as a Black woman.”
Page won four awards for the project, one of which includes "Best Overall Short Film" at the Raleigh Film and Art Festival.
