The 2021 football season is right around the corner! Don’t miss your first chance to see the Lobo football team live in action at the Football, Food, and Film Fest at University Stadium on August 21st. Come out for the final practice of fall camp, hear from head coach Danny Gonzales, get the 2021 schedule poster AND watch Disney and Pixar’s “Coco” following practice. The event is FREE and open to all Lobo fans!
Gameday concessions will be available for purchase and local food trucks (Nexus & Paleta Bar), will also be present with samples. Free popcorn will be supplied to fans for the film following practice, ONE per person while supplies last. Fans will have the opportunity to watch the movie from the football field and are encouraged to bring blankets to sit on.
- Gates open: 3:30pm
- Practice begins: 4:00pm
- Coach Gonzales addresses crowd: 5:00pm
- Crowd permitted to field: 5:45pm
- Movie begins: 6:00pm
The 2021 season will be the first opportunity for Lobo fans to see the football squad in person since the 2019 season. Stadium capacity for the 2021 season is currently set at 100%. Season tickets are the best way to make sure you don’t miss any of the exciting action at University Stadium. The Lobos finished the 2020 season with a pair of wins in conference play, winning 17-16 over Wyoming and 49-39 over Fresno State. Last season, UNM was the first FBS football team in history to play their entire schedule outside of their home state.
