"échappé" and "Pink, White & Blue" are screening at the Sidewalk Film Festival in Birmingham, Alabama, this week. They are the first UNCSA student films to screen with Sidewalk.

“Pink, White & Blue” will screen on Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 6 p.m. in the SHOUT LGBTQ Spotlight screening block.
"échappé" will screen on the closing night of the festival, Sunday, Aug. 29, at 7 p.m. in the Alabama Narrative Shorts Block #2.
"Pink, White & Blue" was directed, edited and sound designed by Ash Malone; produced by Epiphany James, Ellie Emfinger, and Erin Gallagher with cinematography by Ian Price and music by Michael Gaffney.
"échappé" was directed by Rebecca Walters; written by Walters and Alabama native Brandon Rieff; produced by Rieff and Julia Lofton Walpole with cinematography by Rachel Schattle; production design by Shelby Grzech; editing by Joe Linford; sound design by Linford; music by Alexander and Christopher Egersdoerfer; choreography by Gary Taylor (Dance '90), founder and artistic director of Winston-Salem Festival Ballet, and Isabel Newport (Dance 2021), costume design by Rachel Nicole Anderson, a fourth-year graduate student in the School of Design and Production (D&P); and wig and makeup design by Brittan Furr (B.F.A. D&P '20). Writer/director Rebecca Walters plans to attend the festival in support of "échappé."
